How to Get Over a Difficult Situation

If I offered methods to heal trauma, this article would be the length of a book (as I did here and here).

But, if I had to summarize the previous sections, it would be to be kinder to yourself, since compounded guilt lies at the core of all 30 trauma symptoms.

The other kinds of trauma (explained before) make you feel guilty. Guilt builds up over time and manifests in the mind and body.

A critical remark from a parent or guardian may make you feel inadequate or defective. Self-hatred, feelings of inadequacy in professional and interpersonal relationships, and despair result from this notion. You’ll feel nervous, tense, alert, and frightened in new circumstances, work environments, or relationships.

Overwhelmed emotions may lead to feelings of inadequacy, lack of confidence, helplessness, and shame, causing you to retreat from life.

Get Rid of the Mud in Your Soul

You came into this world perfect and undamaged. Events and external circumstances have poured mud on your soul.

Accept the reality that you aren’t broken or defective. You’ve never been like that.

All that remains is for you to collect and eliminate the filth from your heart.
